Active Witnessing Workshops: Learn How to Respond to Racism & Hate

    Project Year: 2024
    Category: Active Witnessing

Led by Aisha Kiani, founder of I Dream Library, these workshops were rooted in transformative justice and involved discussion about community inclusion values and setting boundaries, learning about the historical and present-day context that has normalized oppression, and prompted forum theatre to practice intervention methods addressing the behaviour rather than the person. Online community aftercare sessions were held for participants to share ongoing experiences, feedback, challenges, and successes.
